Ever wondered what actually made blondies blondies? Well it's everything except the coca powder!!
Ingredients
1 cup butter, melted
1 ½ cup sugar, packed (1 cup brown sugar, ½ granulated sugar)
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 ¾ cups all purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
The process is very simple. Start by preheating your oven, mixing all your wet ingredients in one bowl, mixing the dry in another, and finally mixing them all together to create the buttery blondie batter.
Step by Step
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat baking pan with butter and set aside.
Add eggs and vanilla extract and stir completely until smooth. Add eggs one at a time.
In a large bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar. Mix together with eggs and vanilla.
Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to a large bowl and whisk with a fork. Carefully sprinkle dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and stir until completely combined and no flour is visible.
Pour the batter into your baking pan and smooth out.
Place in the oven to bake for 30-35 minutes or until edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If using sprinkles, I found that the colors didn't bleed when I waited until 10 minutes left in the oven before adding.
Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares!
